Félicitations !!

Un petit coucou pour vous dire combien je suis heureuse de vos résultats ! Mme Patrick m'a envoyé un courrier électronique pour me tenir au courant : 13 sur 19 à avoir obtenu un A en Higher French : chapeau !!! Bravo aussi à Chloe qui a aussi obtenu un A au niveau Intermediate 2. Nous sommes toutes 2 très fières de vous toutes. J'espère que vous êtes toutes contentes de vos résultats et vous souhaite tout de bon pour la rentrée.
J'ai mis le cadre-photo que vous m'avez offert à mon départ sur mon bureau à la maison comme ça vous êtes toujours à mes côtés. Je ne vous oublierai jamais et vous remercie pour le plaisir que j'ai eu à vous enseigner !!
Prenez soin de vous et n'hésitez pas à m'envoyer un petit mot de temps en temps.

Have a look on the Meldrum Academy Homework Blog, I have finally downloaded the sheets of the verb phrases which take "à" or "de" and which are followed by an infinitive. It is in the page "Resources for Higher".
Otherwise, Mrs Patrick is advising you to go onto the Scholar Website; they have a revision section with good Listening material.

Finish the Reading texts I gave you on Thursday + the translation. On Wednesday, we will correct all that. For those who did not give me their Discursive Writing, please hand it in to me on Monday or at the latest on Wednesday.

As chosen in class, prepare the 8th example of Discursive Writing (from your Discursive Writing Booklet) : Marie-Claire parle de ses plans pour l’avenir. Et vous, quels sont vos plans pour une carrière ? A votre avis, est-ce qu’il est important de parler une langue étrangère ? If you can give it back to me on Monday, I'll be sure to be able to hand it back to you on Wednesday otherwise, I can't garantee if I get it on Wednesday to be able to correct them all for the following day. I'm sure you'll understand and appreciate this.

From period 1 to period 5, there will be your Speaking exam. You will be sit the exam alphabetically (Sorry Tilly, you'll be the 1st one on the list.)
Revisez-bien ! I remind you that this exam will count for 1/4 of the final exam!

Le mercredi 27 février

Just a reminder that you will sit for a Reading NAB. It will last an hour. For a few, it will be a resit and for the others it will be another piece of evidence in case of an appeal. The Reading text will cover the Theme of Education, School/Future Plans. Look back to the relevant vocabulary ressources you have (booklets and your Higher French course notes textbook). I would ask you to come 10 minutes before at 11.05 in order to have a full hour to do your NAB.

Devoirs pour le jeudi 28 février

Write down your presentation for the speaking exam. To help you, look back to the appropriate vocabulary booklet(s) and chapter(s) in your French Higher course notes textbook. You can produce your presentation on Lifestyles, Education and Work or The Wider World Theme. Start your presentation with an introductory sentence like: "Je vais vous parler de ma famille / de mes études / de la vie à la campagne..." Choose one theme but nothing stops you from mentionning some aspects of other themes. For example: "Après avoir quitté l'école, j'aimerais aller à l'université... J'ai de la chance car mes parents m'encouragent et je sais qu'ils m'aideront financièrement. En effet, j'habite à la campagne et donc, je devrai louer un appartement en ville ou dans une résidence universitaire. En ce qui me concerne, ce sera difficile de quitter mes parents car je m'entends très bien avec eux; ils sont toujours là pour me conseiller, m'écouter et m'encourager. Pour eux, il est très important que je fasse un métier qui me plaise...."
